In their new book, "Black-Latino Relations in U.S. National Politics: Beyond Conflict or Cooperation" (Cambridge 2013), UC Berkley professor Rodney E. Hero and MSU Denver professor Robert R. Preuhs present a compelling argument for rethinking how Black and Latino elites interact in national politics.
Hero and Preuhs will present ideas from their book, which will be followed by a discussion of Black-Latino relations in Denver wuth distinguished panel of local leaders from Denver's Black and Latino communities, including former mayoral candidate James Mejia, former Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives Terrance Carroll, and Colorado State Rep. Jovan Melton. |
