Description:	The Institute for Women’s Studies and Services is pleased to announce Feminist First Fridays—a forum for presenting and discussing feminist research and creative works-in-progress across disciplines. The first Friday of every month, join scholars devoted to the study of women and gender issues, critical race questions and social justice. Meetings will include a research presentation, discussion and the opportunity to network and explore ideas for collaboration and future work. Assistant Professor Virginia McCarver will open this year’s series on March 1 with “This is Where We Were/This is Where We Are/This is Not Where We Thought We Would Be”—an exploration of second and third wave feminist approaches to work and family. Come meet and get to know the diverse and rich community of feminist scholars on campus. *All Feminist First Friday meetings will be held in the Provost’s Conference Space, room 330A of the Student Success Building from noon-1:15pm on the first Friday of every month.
