This symposium will educate and inspire as it explores the broad spectrum of intersections within the reproductive justice movement, including the themes of: health care reform, sex education, pregnancy and childbirth, families, race, culture, gender, sexuality, media, the environment and sustainability. The inaugural keynote speaker is aboriginal Mohawk midwife Katsi Cook, who initiated the award-winning Akwesasne Mother’s Milk project in 1981 to search for answers about toxic exposures and Mohawk women’s reproductive health.
