This training will cover the basic functions of the four applications included in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The first part of the training will be a review of the interface of the applications. This will include topics such as: the Ribbon; Quick Access Toolbar; Command Tabs and Groups; and Backstage View. The second part of the training will explain the individual functionalities of each application as well as provide hand-on experiences in the training exercises for each of the Office products.
Microsoft Office Word: The section includes how to format and enhance documents. Some of the topics covered include: formatting text, formatting paragraphs, using styles to create a table of contents, using format painter, creating tables, numbering pages and inserting illustrations.
Microsoft Office Excel: This section includes how to perform basic calculations and formulas and then create a chart based on the results of those calculations. The training will also demonstrate how to link Excel charts or tables to other applications in the Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word and PowerPoint.
Microsoft Office PowerPoint: This section includes how to create a PowerPoint presentation and useful tips to maximize the professional quality of your presentation. Other topics include; editing text, and inserting illustrations and media.
Microsoft Office Outlook: This section includes how to compose email and manage your inbox. Other topics discussed are; the functions of Calendar in regards to making appointments and meeting invitations, and creating Notes. |

The user will learn how to create link with the Link tool where both using the link tool in itself and next creating links that will be explained and shown to the user.
The user will also learn how to work with Interactive Actions which include bookmarks, adding actions to a bookmark, and adding actions to page thumbnails. How to Add Video, Sound and SWF (Shock Wave Flash) to your document is covered along with adding page transitions. The user will come out of the training with a comfortable feel for Adobe Acrobat X and how to utilize essential tools for creating a PDF with confidence.
