Welcome

Welcome to Metro State Department of African and African American Studies. In it's over 30 year history, the Department has focused on providing a quality educational program. Students graduating from the program receive a solid foundation of knowledge about the contributions and achievements of the peoples of African decent throughout history. In addition to offering a degree program, the Department offers a range of courses that satisfy the college's General Studies and Multicultural requirements. Students also have opportunities to get involved with the community at large through internships. The Department's high quality faculty places top priority to providing a rewarding educational experience to all students.

Interested students are highly encouraged to visit the Department and meet with the faculty and staff.
