Course Creation and Approval

The information in this section is intended for Metro State faculty members/chairs who are interested in developing an online or hybrid course at Metropolitan State College of Denver. Please be aware that the approval process for an online or hybrid course must be completed prior to the class schedule completion date for the semester in which the course will be offered (i.e., previous January for fall, August for spring, December for summer).

Approval Process

  1. The development process begins with the faculty member and the department chair. Because of the unique demands of online/hybrid courses, it is imperative the department chair is involved from the beginning of the planning process.

  2. Please contact Dr. Jeff Lewis, Director of Online Learning.
