Blackboard Vista Student Training
Online courses at Metro State are offered on Blackboard Vista. Blackboard Vista training sessions for students are held on campus the week prior to and first week of each semester. Daytime, evening and weekend sessions are available. Students who need assistance throughout the semester should call the Service Center at 1-877-352-7548.
So whether you are taking an online course or not, we hope you will join us for one of the free training sessions. Each two-hour session will be a hands-on overview of the most commonly used tools and features. We will cover course navigation, communication tools, taking tests online, turning in assignments and checking your grades. I’ll share some tips that are sure to save you time and effort. I’ll also be happy to answer any questions you have about your online course(s) here at Metro. These sessions are free and registration is limited. To register, log in to MetroConnect and locate the Metro Events calendar. Select “All Events.” In the “Events by Category” section, go to the “Training” option and select “Student Training.” Just choose a date and time that works best for you and fill in the registration form. We hope to see you at one of these sessions. Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes early to ensure that you can log on to the network.
