Accredidation

Metropolitan State College of Denver is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Individual academic programs within the following areas have accreditation or approval from the following agencies:

ART: The Art major for the Bachelor of Fine Arts is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).

CHEMISTRY: The Chemistry Department is approved by the American Chemical Society.

COMPUTER SCIENCE: The B.S. in Computer Science is accredited through the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

METEROLOGY: The bachelor of science in Meteorology conforms to the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Service recommendations for an undergraduate meteorology degree.

MUSIC: Metropolitan State College of Denver is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music.

SOCIAL WORK: The social work major is accredited with the Council on Social Work Education.
