Greg earned his Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA. In October 1999, he start working on the Auraria Campus as a Disability Coordinator. In his current role of Director of the Access Center, Greg oversees the day-to-day operations of the office, assists students; and speaks in the community about accommodations in the college and university setting. Greg has also served on the Board of the Learning Disabilities Association of Colorado. |

Greg Root earned his Bachelor of Education Degree from Keene State College in Keene, NH in 1972. In 1978 he became certified in Special Education and taught on the East Coast for 27 years. After working in Medical Management in Florida for 5 years, Greg came to Colorado. Greg's entering his 3rd year at Metro having worked as an assistant to Dean Haynes in the School of Professional Studies and as the Program Manager for the Teacher Application Center in the Teacher Education Department. As Disabilities Specialist Coordinator with the ACCESS Center, Greg especially enjoys his interaction with students and the college community. |

Melissa Cermak earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology with a specialization in school and counseling psychology from Iowa State University. Prior to completing her doctoral degree, Melissa worked as a school psychologist for Heartland Area Education Agency in Iowa, where she served a rural K-12 district in Adel-DeSoto-Minburn. She completed her APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at the University of Buffalo Counseling Services, where she later became a staff psychologist and the coordinator of the group therapy program. Melissa and her family moved back to the Denver area four years ago, and she worked at the Learning Effectiveness Program at the University of Denver prior to joining the Access Center staff in August 2010.

Brei Hamilton earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH in 2002. Spanish and Sociology were her main focuses throughout her college years which allowed her to experience many new cultures and study abroad. Since commencement Brei has taught and worked with the children of the Hartford Public School system in Hartford, Connecticut. She has currently become a resident of Colorado and officially joined the ACCESS Center for Disability Accommodations & Adaptive Technology team on January 3, 2006 as the Disability Coordinator. |
