Excel Pre-Collegiate Weekly Schedule and Special Events

Excel Pre-Collegiate Weekly Visits-do you need help filling out college applications, editing essays, scholarship searching/applying, and financial aid help or maybe you just have questions about college.  A excel pre-collegiate counselor and intern may visit your school on a weekly basis to provide you with help and support.  A schedule of schools visited, time, and location is provided below.

Campus Visit
The Campus Visit 2010 event was created for students to learn more about the resources a college campus can offer. The visit will offer a Financial Aid and College Basics workshop plus a Resource Fair with many on-campus departments and student services offices. The event will offer itself as an opportunity for students to become aware of the resources a college campus can offer once they are enrolled at their prospective institutions.

Parent Workshops
Participate in your students journey to college. At the workshops parents will learn about the college enrollment process, along with financial aid and scholarship information. All parents are invited to participate in the workshops. It is a great opportunity to get involved and to be able to support, motivate and assist your student with their college search.

Financial Aid Scholarship Information Session
Many are the questions and concerns when it comes to money and paying for college. This workshop will focus on helping the parent understand everything that has to do with financial aid and how they can get prepared and motivated to help their student get the needed funding for college. Also, the parent will receive information on what to expect on the FAFSA application.

Financial Aid Application Day

The primary goal of this workshop is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid application (FAFSA).
