Q5. What are the admission requirements for the master’s degree programs?

Each Academic Department has specific admission requirements for acceptance into their graduate programs (both degree seeking and non-degree seeking). You’ll find outlines of those items at the following links:

On top of what is required by the Academic Department, there are also items required by the the Office of Admissions

Q6. What additional documents do I need to submit as an international student?

Please refer to the information on the master’s webpage of the Office of Admissions website for international graduate applicants.

Q7. Where do I have official transcripts and test scores sent to?

You must request official transcripts and test scores be sent directly from the
College/University or testing agency to the Office of Admissions at MSU Denver. All previous college transcripts must be submitted.  Transcripts submitted prior to a current Undergraduate or Graduate admissions application will only be held by the Admissions Office for three months.  After that time, if no new application is received, the transcripts will be destroyed

The only exception to this is the Place/Praxis II exam for Teacher Education students. Scores for either of these tests need to be sent directly to the Teacher Education Department.

Q8. How much is tuition?

To find out the program’s current tuition and fees, please visit the Student Accounts webpage.

Q9. Is financial aid available?

Financial aid is available for eligible graduate students.  Visit the Office of Financial Aid’s webpage for more information.

Q10. How do I get started?

Please contact the Program Coordinator in the Academic Department for your program of interest.  They will be able to provide you with specific information and answer any questions you have about the program.
Master of Professional Accountancy-MPAcc
Master of Arts in Teaching-MAT
Master of Social Work-MSW

If you have specific questions regarding your application, fee, college transcripts, or test scores (excluding the Place/Praxis II), contact the Graduate Admissions Coordinator in the Office of Admissions.  An e-mail will be sent at the time the application and fee are processed regarding the status of admissions-required documents.

The Academic Departments work closely with the Office of Admissions to ensure all documents required have been received, however it is ultimately the responsibility of the student to make sure their file is complete by the deadline.

Q11. How will I know if an admissions decision has been made?

Once your file is complete and an admissions decision has made, the Academic Department will send out a letter confirming your final admissions status.
