The longer you take to graduate, the more expensive college becomes.
Complete your degree as quickly as possible to limit your costs and put your education to work sooner.
Plan your path to graduation
Take 30 credits every year to stay on track for graduation within 4 years—that’s 15 credits each in fall and spring semesters, or 12+12+6 including summer session. Be sure to take required classes first rather than putting them off. Your academic adviser can help you plan ahead.
Enroll full time, register on time
- Part-time students pay for each credit hour, but full-time students pay the same whether they take 12 credits or 18.
- Register as early as possible to get the classes you need to graduate. If you have holds on your account, take care of them right away.
Take summer classes
Summer is a great time to complete prerequisites or finish required classes. Some classes last just 10 weeks, so you can get them out of the way quickly. And, summer classes can lighten your course load—and bill—for future semesters. (Summer session is billed at the current tuition rate.)

Our Mission
Academic Advising facilitates our diverse students’ life-long educational goals by providing accurate information and informed guidance in an efficient, accessible, and comprehensive manner. Advisors teach self-advocacy and promote students’ abilities to discern choices and utilize decision-making strategies. This includes the identification of academic need, preparation, and balance toward program completion. The role of Academic Advising is to encourage student engagement with faculty, academic departments, and student services. This is accomplished by working with key institutional and community partners in an environment of inclusive excellence.
