Success Coaching Program Overview and Goals
Overview
The Success Coaching program is an outreach program for incoming MSU Denver students. Especially for students who are not otherwise receiving services (such as being enrolled in an FYS Learning Community, being part of the Student Success Services TRiO program, or the Metro Scholars program), we want to help students connect to the campus.
Goals
The Success Coaching program is designed to fit into the University's retention efforts. As such, the primary purpose of the program is to help students persist at MSU Denver.
The specific program goals include these items:
- Helping students identifying resources that will help them adjust to being a college student
- Encouraging students to find meaningful connections to the University
- Encouraging students to seek appropriate academic advising and register for the next term
