Success Coaching Tracking Options

Use the one that's easier!

To gauge how effective the Success Coaching program is as an intervention, it will be very helpful to track our interactions with students. You can do that in one of three ways, and each essentially involves filling out a form. The differences are just in the format of the form and what you do with it after your done.

You can use the same online form we used in Fall semester (slightly modified, as the program is less structured for Spring). You can also use a paper copy of the form and turn send that over for data entry. Or if you're already using Banner Relationship Management (BRM), you can paste the contents of the form into a BRM interaction. The choice is purely up to you, so we could encourage you to choose the one that is easiest for you to do.

Documenting using the online feedback form

  • Navigate to the feedback form
  • Fill out the form
    • Please make sure you include your complete 900 number and the complete 900 number of the student--that's how we make sure the feedback is valid
  • Submit!

Documenting using the Student Success Plan form

  • Download the Student Success Plan Spring 2013 (37 KB)
  • Enter the information in the form
  • Print a copy for the student
  • Send a copy to Success Coaching, Campus Box 71 for data entry

Documenting using Banner Relationship Management (BRM)

  • Download the Student Success Plan Spring 2013 (37 KB)
  • Enter the information in the form
  • Give a copy to the student
  • Login to BRM
  • Look up the student and click the Create Interaction button
  • Choose the appropriate Organization, Category, and Type
  • Important*: For the Subject, include the words "Success Coaching" without the quotation marks
  • In the Description, copy the Student Success Plan document and paste it into the Description box (don't worry about making it look any different)
  • Important*: Click the Add Tags link or icon (looks, well, like a tag!) and choose the Success Coaching tag

*Entering "Success Coaching" in the Subject line and using the Success Coaching tag will allow us to identify these contacts for reporting purposes.
