The 1st Annual MSU Denver Undergraduate Research Conference was held on April 20, 2012 in the North Classroom Atrium and North Classroom Building Classrooms. This university-wide conference successfully showcased the scholarly and creative activities of the over 200 undergraduate students at MSU Denver.

2nd Annual MSU Denver Undergraduate Research Conference
If you are an undergraduate student who would like to present your work at the next conference, start planning now! The DATE IS SET - MAY 3, 2013. There are a few things you’ll need to do. First, ask an MSU Denver faculty member to guide you through the process. Your faculty mentor will help you prepare and practice your presentation, as well as provide encouragement and support.

Sigma Xi Student Showcase
On March 18-23, 2013 graduate, undergraduate and advanced high school students will participate in a competition for virtual research presentations hosted by Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society.
Full members of Sigma Xi and other career researchers are invited to serve as a judge for the competition.
Students are invited to submit project descriptions for consideration to present. Judging categories include Behavioral Sciences, Biochemistry, Cellular & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geo-Sciences, Math & Computer Science, Physics & Astronomy, Physiology & Immunology and Social Sciences.
March 8, 2013 – Final deadline for presentation submission, registration and judge volunteers.

INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS
Students who wish to present should email a brief (50 word or less) project description with the subject line “Showcase Presentation Description to meetings@sigmaxi.org
Approval to present and registration instructions will follow via email within two business days. Presentations must be pre-approved before a student may participate in the 2013 Research Showcase.
INFORMATION FOR JUDGES
For your convenience, judging may be conducted throughout the week of March 18-23. Judges will be assigned ~10 presentations in their field of research to review and rate. Judges must be willing to participate in discussion with student presenters during the week of the Showcase thorough a discussion widget attached to the student’s presentation site.
To express your interest in judging, please email your 1st and 2nd preferences for judging sections to meetings@sigmaxi.org with the subject line “Student Showcase Judging.” Judges do not have to submit a separate registration.
Please also encourage your students to participate in event that will engage young researchers from across the globe.
