Welcome to the School of Business at Metropolitan State College of Denver. As you browse the site, you'll become acquainted with the business programs and faculty that help make Metro State a premier business degree-granting institution in Colorado.
Consistent with its mission, The School of Business offers students a variety of educational opportunities that lead to a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Management or Marketing. We are also proud to offer a Masters of Professional Accountancy, readying accounting students for the changes in the state’s CPA requirements. The school also provides opportunities for non-degree seeking students to gain additional undergraduate education through our extensive course offerings and certificate programs. The school provides convenient access to instruction through traditional classroom sessions and innovative online delivery. Classes meet at the main Auraria campus, the Metro South campus, and Metro North campus. Classes are offered during the day, evenings, and weekends and include extensive summer offerings in addition to courses during the traditional academic year.
As a teaching institution, Metro State emphasizes innovative, contemporary instruction and a nurturing, transforming educational experience. This quality business education is provided by a faculty committed to providing quality education for future business leaders. The faculty stays current through scholarly activity, continuous professional development, and engagement with the business and professional community.
The School's faculty includes new and seasoned professors who continue to distinguish themselves academically as well as veteran business professionals who apply complex theory to contemporary business practices. Our faculty includes Fulbright Scholars, editors of academic journals, and nationally recognized academic scholars.
In addition to the quality curriculum and professors, the success of the School of Business can also be attributed to our students and our partners in the business community, who demonstrate, through their achievements and their generosity, the role Metro State plays as a member of the Colorado Community.
Located on the Auraria Campus, Metro State has a diverse student and faculty population in the heart of Downtown Denver. Such diversity contributes to a more enriching educational experience.
