Richard Paíz | Counselor and Student Development Specialist
![]() |

Richard received his B.A. from the University of Colorado-Boulder and M.A. in Post-Secondary School Counseling with an emphasis in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. He had previously worked for another CAMP at CU-Boulder and was ecstatic when a counseling position became available in the then newly funded CAMP at MSCD.
I have many years of experience working with college students, starting my counseling career as a work-study student at the University of Colorado in a Peer-Counseling program. Because I am a first-generation college graduate, I have dedicated my professional life to advocating for first-generation students. CAMP is a very exciting program and I feel fortunate to be working in a place where I feel at home.

Will Waymel | Budget and Recruitment Manager

Will received his B.A. at CU-Boulder in 2007, his MBA at UC-Denver in 2008 and hopes to receive his M.S. in International Business by the end of 2009 as well. These are tremendously important parts of his life that inspire him to maintain a positive attitude towards work and life in general. Having traveled to China, Hong Kong, Italy, Germany, England, Canada, and Egypt and having lived in Spain and Israel have helped him to learn about and appreciate other languages and cultures. Will speaks fluent Spanish and is proficient in Italian. When he is not at work, Will enjoys fishing, traveling and indoor-rock climbing.
Its important to remember that we are here to serve the students, especially the CAMP students, so we should always be striving to improve the services we provide to them. We can learn from our failures and always do better. I am definitely blessed to work in a job that is so rewarding.

Celia Reyes-Martínez | Assistant Recruiter
![]() |
|
Celia was born and raised in Michoacan, Mexico, where she lived until she was eight. When she first arrived in the States, she knew no English and was exposed to a completely new culture. She graduated from Olathe High School in May, 2005 and is currently working towards her B.A. in Political Science with a Minor in English. She expects to graduate in the fall semester of 2009.
Celia has been working for CAMP since the spring of 2006 and loves working with the students and their families. As she was also a farm worker, she understands the struggles and difficulties families go through. She can relate to first generation students and is here to help them with whatever they might need. Since her parents only received an elementary education and do not fully understand what she is going through, she understands that many students might be going through the same difficulty and can help both sides understand their differences.
