Career Opportunities with a Major in Computer Science
Many jobs require a college educated individual. College graduates can use their education in a wide variety of occupations.
The Computer Science major prepares students wishing employment as a software engineer or in a technical area related to Computer Science. The demand for professionals in this field, combined with the relevant curriculum, leads many students to have full-time employment in this area prior to graduation. In addition, there are numerous opportunities for high-paying placement during college through Metro State's Cooperative Education Program. Employers involved in the Cooperative Education Program often permanently hire placement students following graduation.
