Career Opportunities with a Major in Human Performance and Sport

Many jobs require a college educated individual. College graduates can use their education in a wide variety of occupations.

Wherever people are moving, there is work for graduates in this major. Opportunities are limited only by one's imagination. However, the primary setting for teacher licensure candidates is the physical education program in private or public schools. Students with a nonteaching emphasis (adult fitness and exercise science, athletic training, and sport and allied fields) typically find job opportunities in coporate wellness programs; sports medicine clinics; hospital-based therapy clinics; work-hardnening/rehabilitation programs; athletic clubs; nursing-care centers; high school, college, university, or professional sports teams; recreational fitness and exercise settings; or nonprofit organizations such as the YMCA or the American Heart Association.
