Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry offers students the tools and skills needed to excel in the wide-ranging fields of Chemistry-- from graduate studies, to criminalistics, to analytical and environmental testing, and much more.  We offer bachelor of science and bachelor of arts degrees in chemistry, as well as offering an American Chemical Society (ACS) certified bachelor of science degree and a concentration in criminalistics.   The department also offers support courses associated with criminalistics, nursing, and nutrition, as well as general studies courses.

 The Department of Chemistry has a motivated, dedicated, and enthusiastic faculty devoted to a vision of student success and learning.

Chemistry Club Outreach

The Metro Chemistry Club has begun its season of Outreach opportunities to local schools. 

 Upcoming Undergraduate Research Conference

The Chemistry department will be participating in Metro State's first annual Undergraduate Research Conference on April 20th, 2012.

New Faculty Member

Dr. Andrew J. Bonham joined the faculty in Fall 2011.  Dr. Bonham focuses on teaching biochemistry and has begun a biochemistry research program with Metro students.
