Many Colleges and Universities in Colorado use Enterprise software developed by SunGard called BANNER. These colleges need to integrate information from the College Opportunity Fund (COF) into the SunGard BANNER software. In an effort to reduce the costs of integrating COF into BANNER, ten public and private institutions in Colorado with a combined annual FTE production over 110,000, have formed a consortium to work together with SunGard in the effort to integrate COF into the BANNER system. The Consortium members are bound by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
What is the Colorado College Opportunity Fund? The College Opportunity Trust Fund (COF) was created by the Colorado Legislature (Senate Bill 04-189) in July of 2004. The Act, a result of which may be found at Colorado Revised Statutes §§ 23-18-101 – 207, provides a stipend to eligible undergraduate students. The stipend pays a portion of total in-state tuition when a student attends a Colorado public institution of Higher Education or a participating private institution of Higher Education. It was implemented beginning with the 2005-2006 Academic Year. In order for an institution to receive a stipend payment, the student essentially must apply and be approved for the stipend; be accepted to an institution; and enroll at that institution.
