Date and Time

Sunday, May 19th, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. Rain or Shine

*Students should arrive no later than 7:30 a.m.*

The Commencement exercises will last until approximately 1:00 p.m. 

 

Location

The commencement ceremony will be held on the Auraria Athletic Fields

The Auraria Athletic Fields are located on the Auraria Campus.

 

Seating

Graduates may have as many guests as they wish. No tickets are required. Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis and all guests should be seated no later than 8:55 a.m.

 

Disability Provisions

If one or more guests in your party uses a wheelchair or walker, or is hearing or visually impaired, please call 303-556-6226 to reserve tickets to the ADA seating section at commencement. For every ADA ticket reserved, you may reserve up to 4 additional tickets for that section, for a total of 5.  After you have reserved your tickets, you may come to the new Student Success Building (SSB 430), during the week of Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to pick up the tickets to the ADA seating section.

Dining

If this is your first trip to Denver, or you would like to try a different restaurant, check out the downtown Dining and Nightlife Guide courtesy of the Denver Metro Convention Center & Visitors Bureau.

If you plan to make lunch reservations or have a party after Commencement, remember that it may take up to 45 minutes for the graduates to recess, return their caps and gowns, and to reach your car.

 

Parking and Light Rail

All parking on campus will be free of charge. Recommended lots include:

  • Cherry Lot
  • Dogwood Lot
  • Elm Lot
  • Holly Lot
  • Spruce Lot
  • 7th Street Garage

Keep in mind that due to the Commencement ceremony, traffic in the downtown area could be heavy.  Please plan your trips accordingly.

Driving Directions to Auraria Campus

 

From the North

I-25 South to Speer South (Exit 212B)

Turn left on Speer

Turn right on Auraria Parkway

Turn left on 7th Street

Make the next left at the light, there are 2 available lots and 1 garage.

 

From South

I-25 North to Auraria Parkway Exit 210C

Turn right on 7th Street

Make the next left at the light, there are 2 available lots and 1 garage.
