About the Conference

The American Association for Affirmative Action (AAAA) Is a National, Non-Profit Organization, made up of employment/educational equity and diversity officers from Higher Education, Government and Industry, that promotes the professional growth and development of its members through training and educational programs.

The “Affirmative Action, Diversity and Inclusive Excellence” conference is intended to provide Affirmative Action Officers, Chief Diversity Officers, Government and Industry representatives the with knowledge and awareness on issues and current events as it relates to affirmative action and diversity. Topics covered at the 2012 Region VIII conference range from a discussion on emerging issues and compliance in the form of a panel discussion with the Department of Labor, Office of Civil Rights (OCR), and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

An addition, there will be concurrent sessions on the topics: Workplace Violence, Recruitment and Retention, How to develop Partnerships with Industry, and Prevention, Investigation and Resolutions in regards to Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace.

Registration

The fee is $150 for American Association for Affirmative Action members and $175 for Non-American Association for Affirmative Action members. Your registration fee includes a reception, refreshment breaks, continental breakfast on Friday, lunch on Friday, a full breakfast on Saturday, and conference materials.
