Earth and Atmospheric Science Facilities

The Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department at Metropolitan State University of Denver has laboratory facilities that are readily available, accessible, and well equipped to enable undergraduate students to complete their course work and participate in discipline specific as well as interdisciplinary environmental research.  The new science building, which includes renovation of the existing science building and the addition of a new section, was completed in August 2010. This has significantly increased the available square footage for teaching laboratories, laboratory preparation areas, and dedicated undergraduate research laboratories.  EAS now has two Geology teaching labs, an integrated science lab, a prep room, map library, x-ray lab, an undergraduate research lab, a meteorology computer lab, a meteorology classroom, and two Geographic Information Systems classrooms.
