Mr. Ball's classified position title is Electronic Specialist IV. He has also served as a Certificate Contact Person for the three certificates offered through Electrical Engineering Technology. Interim Chair of MSU Denver’s Electrical Engineering Technology Industrial Advisory Board 2000-2003. While a full time (16-18 credits) student at MSU Denver from 1973-1978 he worked twenty to thirty-five hours a week as a mechanic for two auto garages. When MSU Denver moved on to the Auraria Campus in 1976 he was a student employee for 2 months packing and unpacking labs. In the Fall of 1978, while still a student, he accepted a half-time temporary hourly position with MSU Denver. He applied for and was hired into the full-time "Electronic Specialist A" position at MSU Denver in April 1979. While employed for MSU Denver he received two promotional opportunities; "Electronic Specialist B", then skipping one level to "Principal Electronic Specialist". The state classified system has renamed the latter first to "Telcom/Electronic Specialist IV" then to the current title of "Electronic Specialist IV".
