Creating an Assignment

Step 1.
From the Build tab , click the Assignments tool .

Step 2.

Click the Create Assignment button
Step 3. Enter a Title, an optional Description, and Instructions for the students.
Note: The assignment is NOT available to students until you have assigned it to students under the “Assignment Recipients” section.
Step 4. Decide if you would like the students to submit in Text or Web site format and select the correct radio button under “Student submission format.”
Step 5. Under “Assignment recipients,” select the radio button for “All Students individually.”
Note: The assignment is now available for students because you have assigned it to students. You can now decide to show or hide this assignment from students under the “Create Assignment” section.
Step 6. Set the Due Date (submissions after this date are marked late) and, optionally, a later Cutoff Date (can no longer submit after this date; if the students don't submit by this date, the assignment is marked missed).
Step 7a. Decide whether or not to activate Grading features. Optionally enter a different name for the Grade Book column to be associated with this assignment; otherwise the Title will also be used as the Grade Book column.
Note: The shorter the Grade Book column name, the better.
Step 7b. If you would like the assignment to be Gradable, select a grading scheme of Numeric (and type in the maximum number of points) or Alphanumeric to assign a letter grade.

Step 8.
Click Save to create the assignment
