Announcements

What you need to know

All Announcements are moved to the Blackboard Learn Course and are available to all  Course users. All users see Announcements. All announcements are changed to "System Administrator" as the author and will need to be updated.

Where is it now

The Announcements tool is located within the Communications link on the course navigation menu. This is where you will create and modify announcements. Announcements can be viewed on either the course Home Page in the “Announcements” Module, or the Announcements tool located within the Communications link on the navigation menu.

What you need to do

  1. Review all announcements.
  2. Delete all unwanted announcements.
  3. Edit each remaining announcement.
  4. Update Web Announcement Options for each announcement.
    1. “Date Restrictions” (Display after and Display until options under the edit menu) to reflect your new course timeline.
  5. Submit each announcement (regardless of if you made changes) to change the name of the author.
  6. Verify that the announcements are in the desired order.
