Selective Release
What you need to know
Selective Release Rules do not directly migrate to Blackboard Learn. Only Selective Release Rules that are structured a certain way move over. In most cases, customized rules do not come over in a complete form.
Where is it now
Selective Release, as it is known in Vista 8, is called Adaptive Release in Blackboard Learn. The function is similar to the previous Blackboard tool, however a few features are unavailable and a number of new features are now in place.
What you need to do
- Locate the items with Selective Release criteria
- Make sure that the rules migrated. If they have migrated you should be able to see that the Adaptive Release is enabled in the content item’s description.
- If the Selective Release rules did not migrate, click on the item’s Action Link and select Adaptive Release to create new rules.
