Degree Completion through Extended Campus

Degree Completion Program Benefits:

  • Save time by finishing your degree at our convenient Metro South or Metro North campus locations (plenty of free parking.)

  • Attend classes in the evenings or on weekends.

  • Computers at Metro South and Metro North are networked to the Auraria campus and offer an extensive selection of software with access to the Auraria Library catalog (Skyline) and other databases.

All Metro State Extended Campus Degree Completion courses are taught by Metropolitan State College of Denver full or part-time faculty. Each program is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Following are Degree Completion Programs offered through Extended Campus:

  • Business Degree Completion

Metro South offers all the courses (on a 2 year sequential rotation) required for majors in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, and Management.

The Accounting program prepares students for entry into careers in public accounting, industry, tax and government sector, as well as graduate education and lifelong learning. With a degree in Computer Information Systems, students can look forward to challenging careers in the business world. The Management program prepares students to pursue a career in human resource management, operations management, entrepreneurship or general management.

  • Hospitality, Tourism and Events Core Courses

Metro South offers all the core courses (on a 2 year sequential rotation) required for a major in Hospitality, Tourism and Events. Concentration courses are offered on the Auraria Campus. The Hospitality, Tourism and Events program prepares students to work in the hospitality industry in a variety of positions in hospitality, tourism, and events management.

  • Behavioral Science Degree Completion

The Behavioral Science degree completion program with an elected focus in psychology or sociology is offered off-campus at both the Metro South and Metro North sites (on a 2 year sequential rotation). The degree is designed primarily for working adults who need to complete the upper-division (junior/senior level) courses required for this degree. The Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science is ideal for transfer students with credits in the social sciences: political science, sociology, psychology, history, economics, and anthropology. In addition, it is an excellent major for students pursuing licensure in elementary education.

  • Elementary Education Licensure Sequence

Metro North offers the Elementary Education Licensure Sequence. Students preparing for a career in Elementary Education will find the licensure courses offered at convenient times in the evening.
