Assessment

The Tools of the Mind curriculum is based on individual scaffolding of children. On-going classroom assessment (daily, weekly, monthly) for the purposes of making instructional decisions is built into the program. Teachers are taught through the Tools of the Mind curriculum to conduct dynamic assessments of children.

Pacing guides are developed to ensure that instruction matches end-of-the-year benchmarks and standards.

Tools of the Mind can provide districts with support in aligning report cards and child portfolios to document children’s learning and progress.
