Endorsement
During the second year, teachers and administrators can, if they wish, apply for Tools of the Mind teacher or administrator endorsement. Endorsement entitles the person access to special workshops for endorsed teachers held once a year. Endorsement gives teachers access to a special web page that contains current program information, updated teaching techniques, additional scaffolds for individual children, and more. In addition, any teacher who has earned their endorsement certificate can attend any Tools workshop (at their own grade level) free of charge. We have found that teachers who undergo the endorsement process are generally extremely professional and talented. Keeping these highly skilled teachers current in the Tools curriculum helps the district as a whole since they can share their knowledge, thus ensuring that all staff members stay current with any changes to the program and maintain fidelity. The endorsement is valid for three years.
