Office of the Controller
The Accounting Services department is comprised of two separate but interrelated groups: Accounting Services and Student Accounts/Cashiering.
Accounting Services is comprised of the college’s Financial Services, Business Services, Grants & Loans, Payroll, and Accounts Payable offices. These groups:
- Maintain the integrity of the college’s financial data.
- Provide accountability for college funds and assets through the application of professional accounting standards, governmental regulations, and sound business practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to both internal and external users.
- Facilitate informed and constructive management decisions.
- Provide support to various other college departments through oversight, training, and internal control policies.
- Provide timely payments of Payroll and Accounts Payable transactions.
Student Accounts/Cashiering assists students in meeting their educational goals by offering excellent customer service while providing financial services to students, their families, and college employees. These groups:
- Provide correct assessments of student balances, diligent management of the Federal Perkins Loan Fund, and flexible payment options.
- Educate students and their families about their financial rights and responsibilities in relation to the college.
- Maintain up-to-date, secure student data files.
