Other Reminders

  • Students are not allowed to work over 30 hours a week, except during official school breaks when they may work up to 40 hours a week.
  • Students are not allowed to work over time without prior approval. If students do work over 40 hours a week please contact HR or payroll immediately. Their timesheet must be faxed to payroll and adjustments for overtime will be made, do not make adjustments yourself.
  • An internal procedure for each vice presidential area should be developed for overtime requests on departmental funds.
  • It is the supervisor and student employees' responsibility to keep track of students' earnings.

International Students

  • Due to Federal Regularions, International Students can work a maximum of 20 hours a week while classes are in session and a maximum of 40 hours while classes are not in session.
  • International Students please forward a completed copy of the Employment Eligibility Form for International Students to HR every semester.
