Adolescent Assessment and Case Planning
Working with adolescents who are in the social services system presents additional challenges for the caseworker. In addition to physical abuse and neglect issues, adolescents frequently exhibit behaviors such as substance abuse, delinquent acts, involvement with the Division of Youth Corrections, and running away.
A thorough assessment of the adolescent and his or her family is essential to developing an effective case plan. This one-day training session will discuss assessment techniques and demonstrate how to utilize the information gleaned from the assessment in the development of a case plan.
Target audience: Primarily for Caseworkers and other professionals in the Human Services field.
