Adolescent Development

This one-day workshop provides a framework for abnormal adolescent development and includes a discussion on risk factors as well as a brief review of normal adolescent development.

The workshop focuses on assessing adolescents for delayed development and determining at what developmental age the adolescent is currently functioning.

A portion of the training focuses on the recent research regarding the impact of trauma on brain development and provides strategies for caseworkers to use this information in their interactions with adolescent clients.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Primarily for Caseworkers and other professionals in the Human Services field.
