This two-day training for Case Aides focuses on practical interventions for children with mental health disorders and their families. The training increases awareness and understanding of ADHD and associated diagnoses such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Bi-Polar and Depression by covering the most current information regarding symptoms, causes, associated problems, and treatment of the disorders.
Participants also learn specific behavioral intervention strategies for use in the context of their practice with families. Creating therapeutic games for children with ADHD is also discussed. This training is intended for Case Aides who work in visitation centers, life skills programs, home-based service programs, and parent education groups.
