Screening of Young Children for Developmental Delays
Home visiting professionals are often the only professionals, other than medical staff, who have contact with young children prior to school age. This training will discuss the need for early intervention and will train workers to use two standardized developmental screening instruments, including the Ages & Stages Questionnaire and the Speed Dial III.
A screening kit will be given to each agency upon completion of the class. All workers who use the screening kits must be trained in their use.
PLEASE NOTE: The major focus is on learning and practicing the Speed Dial II for children ages 2-6.
