Working with Families with Children/Parents with Developmental Disabilities
This two-day training will focus on the strengths and strains of families with children with developmental disabilities. Topics discussed will include: cultural responses to disability, an overview of disabling conditions, statewide resources, and risk factors for abuse and neglect. The course will also offer an in-depth look at parents with developmental disabilities, including assessment and intervention strategies.
Target Audience: Case Workers, Case Aides and Supervisors, Early Intervention, Public Health, Community Centered Board Staff and other community based staff.
