How to Accept 2012 - 2013 Graduate Federal Stafford Loans

(Fall 2012, Spring 2013)

The Office of Financial Aid will now make available the ability to view and accept Federal Direct Stafford loans online via ConnectU. Students may accept the full amount, a reduced amount, or decline loans through ConnectU.

To accept your Federal Direct Stafford loans, you must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file for the 2012-2013 academic year. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is also required for need-based aid and scholarships and may be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

For the 2012-2013 aid year students are required to submit their initial loan acceptance via ConnectU. You will have the option to accept the entire amount that is "Offered" or you may select to accept a partial amount. Students who accept a partial amount will have the opportunity to request the additional funds that they are eligible to receive.
