Evi Makovsky, Secretary - Shames Makovsky Realty
Evi Makovsky was assistant Colorado attorney general for five years and Denver’s senior city attorney in employment for six years. She is now an adjunct professor at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in health care and ethics and in Denver University’s Graduate School of Social Work.
Makovsky is a policy writer for National Jewish Hospital and is the co-chair of the hospital’s Ethics Committee. She is a member of the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado’s Jewish Resource Council (Allocations) and the Mayor’s Advisory Council for the Denver Preschool Program, and is chair of the Center for Bioethics and Humanities for the University of Colorado. A board member of the Denver Health Foundation, Makovsky received the foundation’s Leadership Award in 2008.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in education; master’s degrees in communications and social work; and a juris doctorate degree from the University of Denver.
