Cost and Financial Aid

Financial Aid: Dollars and Sense

Today, most students want to know: What’s the return on my investment?

At MSU Denver? Very, very high.

MSU Denver offers a high-quality, high-value education where every class and every degree program is designed to give you the tools necessary to succeed in your chosen career.

We are considerably more affordable than the state’s four other large institutions. Combine the reasonable cost of our tuition and fees with the University’s generous scholarships and financial aid, and your cost of entry to a bachelor’s or master’s degree is very doable.

How do I get financial aid and scholarships at MSU Denver?

That’s easy. Apply! Even if you don’t think you qualify, apply anyway. You never know what might come your way!

Paying for MSU Denver Checklist

Use this handy checklist to make sure you’ve covered your financial aid bases.

  1. Apply for the College Opportunity Fund (COF). This is money that will show up as a credit on your bill every semester.
  2. Fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) ASAP! This is your gateway to scholarships, grants, loans and work-study jobs. You can complete it at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
  3. Apply for MSU Denver scholarships at www.msudenver.edu/financialaid/scholarships.
  4. Check out work-study jobs www.msudenver.edu/working. (Even if you don’t qualify for state or federal work-study money, you might be able to land a non-need work-study job).
