Internships
Student Internships
Internships with Federal, State, or Local Government agencies, as well as private industry companies are an integral part of the education of our students. Students are required to perform a 90-hour internship as part of their curriculum. We encourage students to work continuously for at least one year. This activity provides the following benefits:
1. Professional experience before graduation.
2. Hands-on experience applying concepts covered in classes.
3. Experience applying GIS to field of expertise.
Student internships are available to Metro students enrolled in degree programs through the Cooperative Education Internship Center
