Welcome to the Office of Development

Norma's quote is what the Office of Development at MSU Denver is all about: exceptional students getting the help they need to lead extraordinary lives.
Norma is indeed extraordinary. Besides being the first in her family to reach college (she's attending full-time), she's also the mother of three—and she holds down a full-time job.
In Development, we see stories like Norma's every day: hard-working students who truly understand the value of an education but are just barely getting by to meet their basic needs, despite MSU Denver’s affordable tuition.
And what's particularly troubling is that we know that stories like these are at-risk. The alarming fact is, only 37 percent of MSU Denver's annual budget is funded by the State of Colorado. That means gifts from people like you are the true lifeblood of our students’ futures.
The good news is that donors realize gifts to MSU Denver are like seeds, budding and growing into meaningful educational opportunities for deserving students.
Yes, deserving—and diligent—students like Norma.
"Not having a degree has hindered my growth. It's a reason I haven't been given a higher position in my work," Norma says. "Many parents don't understand the importance of school and they don't encourage school beyond high school. It's important for Latinos to say, 'We need that education' to set a goal for yourself."
We invite you to set a giving goal for yourself and find the way to make a tax-deductible gift that will make an extraordinary difference in a life—a student’s life and your own!
