The Safe Zone Project is designed to educate students, staff, faculty, and administrators about the experiences, concerns, and issues of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) members of our community. The project encourages open dialogue and the sharing of information in order to create a supportive environment for diverse members of the Auraria Campus community. On a personal level, the project provides a space for participants to examine their own values, beliefs, and reactions to issues relating to sexual identity or orientation.
