Cost and Sustainability

Metropolitan State University of Denver will not use state appropriations or student tuition money to cover costs specifically associated with the name change. Instead we are using Indirect Cost Recovery funds that are held by the Division of Administration, Finance and Facilities and which must be approved by the president.

Funding name-change-related expenses
Departments can use General Fund budgets for expenses to replenish and replace worn-out items or those scheduled for replacement, as these are not considered costs incurred by the new name. Only items purchased to replenish depleted supplies or replaced due to wear and tear may be paid out of General Fund accounts.

Use materials that are considered consumables or operational (see list below) with “Metropolitan State College of Denver” imprints until they run out or until June 30, 2013. Examples of consumables or operational supplies include:

Letterhead

Envelopes

Business cards

Forms
