Types of General Education Programs

Distribution Model
A cafeteria-style list of courses divided into areas such as Core Skills, Arts & Humanities, Social and Natural Sciences, History, etc.

Integrated Studies Model
A program using interdisciplinary courses, seminars, and learning communities, or some combination.

Comprehensive Model
Uses both distribution and integrated studies.
