Results - U.S. History Requirement

20 % of the institutions surveyed required U.S. History

A new trend in general education is making sure students have “civic literacy.” A primary goal of a liberal education is to prepare students to participate in a democracy. Teaching U.S. History is an effort to make sure students understand our government and its history.
