The mission of advising is to provide accurate information and informed guidance in the most efficient, accessible and comprehensive manner possible to assist students in reaching their educational goals. The Academic Advising Center offers general advising services to all students, but specializes in working with first-time university students who have not yet declared a major. Services include assistance in course selection and registration, long-term degree planning and individualized developmental advising, such as selection of major/minor and degree enhancement strategies. Continuing students may review their progress toward degree completion by requesting a degree compliance report (known as a CAPP report).
