Students with a current MSU Denver student ID may participate in a variety of activities at Campus Recreation at Auraria (CRA). CRA offers fitness programs, personal training services, intramurals, outdoor adventure programs, a CPR/AED/First Aid Certification program and activities for individuals with physical challenges.

Drop-In Activities

Drop-in activities include strength/conditioning, swimming, basketball, handball/racquetball/squash, badminton and volleyball. The fitness center is equipped with state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment. There is also a 1,300-square-foot climbing wall. The Fitness Loft contains circuit training machines, indoor cycling bikes and other functional equipment. Available fitness classes include Group Fitness, Personal Training, The Physically Challenged Program and Dance.

Intramural Sports

Intramural sports provide participants with a chance to compete, meet new people, support fitness goals and have fun. Intramural activities include basketball, volleyball, dodge ball, soccer, racquetball, tennis and summer softball.

Club Sports

The club sports program was organized on the campus to provide the students, faculty and staff of Auraria an opportunity to promote and develop their individual athletic interests in an organized fashion with others who share the same interests. The clubs are student-initiated with the emphasis on participation.

Recreational Equipment

Recreational equipment including basketballs, locks, towels, racquetball and tennis racquets, and soccer balls can be checked out at our equipment checkout station located on the first floor of the PE Building.

CPR/AED/First Aid Program

Provides the opportunity for students, faculty, staff or community members to certify or recertify in CPR/AED or first aid. All Red Cross certifications are good for two years. Please check the semester schedule or call the main office for more information.

Outdoor Adventure Program

The Outdoor Adventure Program includes Tech Skills, The Outdoor Adventure Program, Adventure Leadership Program, Service Learning Programs, Web Skills and the OAC Rental Shop and Office.
