The MSU Denver Food Bank was established to address the growing concern of poverty and hunger among students at MSU Denver, many of whom receive financial aid. Students are often overlooked or are ineligible to benefit from many traditional food assistance programs. With this in mind, Student Engagement and Wellness, in partnership with the Student Government Assembly and other university departments, established a Food Bank for MSU Denver students.
A limited amount of non-perishable food is available to every MSU Denver student on a weekly basis, as availability permits. Students interested in utilizing the Food Bank simply need to visit the Food Bank (see website for current hours of operation), present a valid MSU Denver student ID and complete a basic registration process.
Because the Food Bank is run on a donation-only basis, partnerships with community organizations have been established to procure food items for the Food Bank. Donations of both money and food items from the MSU Denver community are also welcomed and appreciated.
